Each November, older people across the nation are celebrated during Seniors Week (6-13 November). The Advocare team will be marking this special date by attending a number of free events across the Perth Metro area, north to Geraldton, as well as  heading south to Mt Barker and Albany.

Our mission is to remind older people and their families of how Advocare supports the rights of older people in WA with our free, unbiased and confidential services. Check the listing below and be sure to drop by and pick up some useful information for future planning and protecting the rights of older people. Enjoy Seniors Week!

Kwinana Seniors Week Expo
Date: Tues 8 November, 10.00am-2.00pm

Location: Medina Hall, 7 Page Road, Medina
Description: Advocare has an info/resource stall
Seniors and carers can learn more about the amazing services and community groups providing support in the Kwinana community. Enjoy a line dancing demonstration, seniors choir performance and weaving activity, plus free barista-made coffee and more than 25 stallholders!

NBN Scams and Safety Awareness Events

Date: Thurs 10 November, 1.00-3:30pm

Location: Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre, 41 Ormsby Terrace, Mandurah
Description: Advocare will give a 15-minute presentation.
The event will focus on learning more about resources and assistance available from locally based community and government organisations. Organisations will give short presentations explaining how they help and give information seniors may find useful
