Led by Advocare, the free Aged Care Empowerment Expo provides the opportunity for you to access free, holistic information and support from a range of community services organisations to help you take control of your aged care journey.
We understand the aged care system is laden with overwhelming paperwork, challenging finances, and the confusion of ever-changing rules and procedures. We believe everyone should feel in control of their aged care journey, and that starts with being informed.
You may be at the very beginning of your journey, planning but hesitant to navigate such a complex landscape. Perhaps you are already receiving services, and are experiencing challenges with your provider. You may even feel as if all other avenues have been exhausted and it’s time to make a formal complaint or seek legal assistance.
No matter what stage of your aged care journey you are in, we welcome you to join industry professionals from:
- Advocare
- Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC)
- Financial Counselling Network
- Legal Aid (Seniors Rights and Advocacy Service)
- Council on the Ageing, COTA (WA)
- Department of Health and Aged Care
These organisations will share their knowledge and answer your burning questions on all things aged care. Come along to hear from guest speakers, peruse an offering of information stalls, seek advice, and indulge in complimentary morning tea.
