Advocacy
Advocare provides advocacy and representation for people who cannot represent themselves and where other sources of personal advocacy support are not available or practical.  

Information
Advocare advises on people's rights and sources of help and support in the community. This ensures people have all the information they need to help them make an informed decision.  

Referral
Advocare makes referrals to other community support agencies.  

Support
Advocare provides an advocate to support people to make decisions that are right for them.  

Education
Advocare provides education to the wider community so that all members of the community have the information they need and can share this information.  

Code of Conduct
Advocare protects and promotes the rights of people living in residential aged care facilities and those receiving community care services through information, support, representation, community education and research.

Advocare actively promotes the rights of those who might otherwise be more vulnerable because of differences of race, religion or cultural practices.

Advocare bases its activities on legal, ethical and moral principles, and uses these principles in its decision making.

Advocare ensures the confidentiality of documents, records and other information obtained in the course of their work. Individuals using the services of Advocare have access to their documents.

Advocare staff are open, approachable, persistent and thorough in their undertakings.

Advocare is committed to continuous quality improvement in all its activities through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of its services and a commitment to the development of a learning environment for staff and clients.
