About Advocare

Advocare provides a free, professional advocacy service for older adults and care recipients living in Western Australia. We assist clients of both residential and community care to understand their rights and make any necessary complaints about the care service they receive. We are also available to help older adults who are experiencing elder abuse.

What is an Advocate?

An advocate:
listens to your concerns
gives you information
speaks up for you
supports you to speak out
does only what you ask
refers you to other agencies if needed.

An advocate is someone who stands beside you and works on your behalf and at your direction. They will speak to service providers and allied health services for you, if you would like them to.

Through the provision of advocacy and education we are creating a better informed community and contributing to well-informed decision making.

Our Vision

A community where the rights of people are supported and respected.
